Revere Investments is a private real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition and investment management of multifamily properties in Southern California. Founded in 2002, Revere has successfully executed an investment strategy based on a disciplined acquisition approach. The principals directly oversee all investment functions, including acquisition due diligence, financing, asset management and dispositions.


Principals


Mark Chalfin

Prior to forming Revere Investments, Mark was Vice President of Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group based in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for real estate equity and debt transactions. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, Mark was Senior Vice President of Jones Lang LaSalle's Capital Markets Group beginning in 1995 in the firm's Los Angeles office, where he was responsible for the company's real estate investment advisory activities. Mark holds an MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.


 

David Jankowski

Prior to forming Revere Investments, David was Vice President of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc., an institutional real estate advisor. David joined Lend Lease (then Equitable Real Estate) in 1993, where he was responsible for supervising all aspects of investments in Southern California and other southwest markets. David earned a BA in Economics from Pomona College and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University.


 



Acquisition Criteria


We are always in the market seeking value-add opportunities. Brokers that source new investments for us will be given priority for the listing engagement when we sell, typically after a two- to five-year hold.

Our criteria for new acquisitions:
  • Ten units and larger
  • All locations in Southern California
  • Built after 1940
  • Non rent-control preferred, but not necessary
  • No specific criteria regarding price/unit, price/square foot, cap rate, or Gross Rent Multiplier
